This article by Donny Seagraves appeared in the October 1997 issue (Vol. 9, No. 4) of Athens Magazine. At the time it was written, Harry Hancock, a resident of Watkinsville, Georgia, was most likely the world's oldest saddle bronc rider. He had competed in many rodeos but had not yet reached his goal of winning his pro card. After the article was published, Harry's wife, Sandra, a cosmetologist, dyed Harry's gray hair and beard, and he won his pro card.
